My goal is to help individuals of all ages achieve happiness, peace, and continued serenity in their lives by recognizing and resolving issues from the past and utilizing new ways to cope with the challenges of life in the present and future.

My Approach

We all deserve to lead a happy life that is both fulfilling and pleasurable. There will always be challenges and situations that take us away from feeling happy and serene. But my role as a Psychologist/Therapist is to help others work through their life challenges and achieve lasting peace and contentment.

In my private practice, I help children, adolescents, and adults work through difficult situations such as divorce, death, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Through personal and extensive therapy sessions, I help my clients identify which coping skills are working for them and which ones are not. Once I have laid a solid foundation of what works for each individual, I then help teach them new coping strategies and skills that they can utilize to resolve the difficulties in their lives on their own. I encourage my clients to practice these new skills in their daily lives and continually emphasize the most important concepts of being happy and peaceful.

I have over 30 years experience working with individuals of all ages. I spent 25 years as a School Psychologist for Los Angeles Unified School District where I completed psychological assessments and counseled students with a variety of learning and social-emotional difficulties. I worked hand in hand with the children’s families in order to create a more cohesive and positive environment for the children at home. These methods helped the whole family to understand and work with their children to overcome these difficulties.

In my private practice as an Educational Psychologist, I perform Psychological assessments to help identify and diagnose various types of learning and emotional difficulties. I also do IQ testing to help identify giftedness, as well as identifying strengths and weaknesses in an individual’s learning abilities. Although not perfect, IQ tests can be helpful in identifying strategies that can help an individual learn more effectively.

Due to my extensive and exceptional experience, I am also qualified as an expert witness in both the criminal and civil courts in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. I have been called upon by the courts to testify on behalf of individuals when educational issues are a contributing factor to their current predicament. I have been able to make recommendations for both children and adults caught up in the legal system that in turn often helps their legal problem. Having this kind of assistance and expertise in court can be a tremendous way to help these people move forward both legally and in their daily lives.
